Temperatur laptop tetap sama seperti seri R, tidak perlu diragukan lagi. Keyboard tetap enak, dan tentunya tetap ada trackpoint !! Selain fitur-fitur yang sudah tidak dapat saya lepaskan lagi tersebut, seri T yang saya gunakan kali ini dilengkapi beberapa fitur tambahan:
1. Fingerprint (dengan thinkvantage password managernya), sangat memudahkan saya dalam menyimpan password-password. Fitur ini tidak ada di seri R saya sebelumnya.
2. Batere lebih besar, keuntungannya sudah pasti, standby time lebih besar, kira-kira dengan penggunaan wifi dan tingkat brightness monitor setengah, saya bisa memperoleh 3 hingga 4 jam.
3. Prosessor lebih baru dengan core2duo, lebih responsif dibandingkan prosessor dual core di seri R sebelumnya.
4. Webcam, tidak terlalu terpakai untuk saya, tetapi tetap menjadi nilai tambah, membantu pada saat harus online conference.
5. Windows 7, OS terbaru windows bisa jalan lengkap dan lancar dengan Aero Desktop nya.
6. Body lebih ramping dibandingkan seri R
Beberapa kelemahan dari thinkpad seri T yang saya gunakan:
1. Contrast ratio layar rendah. Saya tidak tahu berapa angka spesifikasi contrast rasio layar thinkpad seri T ini tapi dari pengalaman sehari-hari, kita harus berada di sweet spot untuk memperoleh tampilan terbaik. Hal ini juga tidak tertolong oleh layar glossy dimana sedikit menyulitkan apabila menggunakannya laptop ini di bawah terik matahari. Thinkpad seri R lama saya menggunakan layar non-glossy, saya lebih cocok dengan layar non-glossy.
2. Onboard graphic lemah, meski Windows 7 Aero bisa berjalan lancar di laptop ini, tetap ganjalan utama dari laptop ini adalah lemahnya onboard graphic Intel untuk menjalankan aplikasi-aplikasi 3D tetapi memang saya lihat seri thinkpad tidak didesain untuk memainkan game melainkan untuk kerja. Sayapun tidak terlalu pusing dengan performa grafik thinkpad seri T ini.
Sekian review saya mengenai thinkpad seri T yang saya pilih menjadi rekan kerja harian. Yang pasti, semenjak saya mengenal thinkpad, saya jatuh cinta dengan laptop ini, baik seri R yang masih saya gunakan sesekali sampai dengan seri T yang saya gunakan daily.
Meski banyak rekan kerja saya yang memilih laptop full multimedia merek lain, yang lengkap dengan bling-blingnya, saya tetap cinta dengan lenovo thinkpad ( khususnya seri T ini ), it's not as loaded as those rivals but it's damn sturdy and gets the job don .
